Congratulations go to Miss Heather Gray and Miss Emily Gairns who achieved 1st Degree confirmed after the recent blackbelt seminar instructed by Master David Brown 7th Degree at Bo'ness Recreation Centre. The technical seminar took place over 4 1/2 hours at which the girls went over the finer points of their blackbelt patterns, but also sine wave, theory of power, 2 step sparring and foot sparring. The girls are now entitled to wear their embroidered belts and will be training hard to achieve their first degree level 1 hopefully at the next grading.
Instructors Ms Liz McKenna 4th Deg also took part in the seminar - the 3rd and 4th Degree part taking place on the Saturday afternoon and Liz rejoining the 1st and 2nd Degrees on the Sunday to continue her refreshment of her lower grade patterns.
